About this role
Lead the design of underground infrastructure projects (cables and pipelines) supporting the energy transition. You oversee the complete design process from route studies through detailed engineering to execution, ensuring integrated, permissible, and buildable solutions. You manage your team, coordinate specialist inputs (soil, ecology, archaeology, geotechnics), handle permitting and land matters, and maintain stakeholder relationships. You balance technical choices, environmental constraints, and constructability while maintaining control over planning, quality, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
