About this role
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Benchmark Electronics, you will serve as the bridge between customers and production. Your role involves translating technical specifications into efficient manufacturing processes for PCBA assemblies and related products. You will design production workflows, create work instructions, program machinery, develop tooling, and establish digital routing systems. You'll evaluate product designs and technical feasibility, conduct design-for-manufacturability analyses, implement process controls for traceability, develop clear operational procedures, provide technical feedback to internal teams and customers, and ultimately approve final production processes. This position combines technical expertise with project leadership responsibilities.
What you'll likely bring
- Ability to translate technical data packages into complete and robust production processes
- Experience with process design and manufacturing workflow optimization
- Competency in creating work instructions and programming production machinery
- Knowledge of design-for-manufacturability (DfX) analyses and DFMEA methodologies
