About this role
Lead Mechanical Engineer role at RIFT, responsible for mechanical integrity and performance across industrial energy system projects. You will set design requirements and technical specifications, oversee external engineering partners and suppliers, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards throughout the full project lifecycle. This is a leadership position focused on technical authority and strategic direction rather than detailed design work.
What you'll likely bring
- Full technical responsibility for mechanical scope in industrial projects
- Ability to establish design principles, requirements, and technical specifications aligned with process and system needs
- Experience reviewing, challenging, and approving designs from EPC contractors, engineering firms, and suppliers
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations including PED, ASME, and EN13480
- Oversight of safety, reliability, and maintainability aspects of installations
- Experience with first-of-a-kind energy systems or complex multidisciplinary industrial installations
