About You: An Apprentice Electrician works under the direct supervision of a licensed journeyman electrician or foreman to learn the trade and assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on company projects. Apprentices are expected to demonstrate strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to safety and continuous learning. A Day in the Life: Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and site rules at all times. Participate in toolbox talks, JSAs, and safety meetings; stop work and notify Supervisor if conditions are unsafe. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work area. Comply with OSHA, local electrical codes, and apprenticeship program requirements (hours, classes, etc.). Report incidents, near misses, or quality issues immediately. Installation & Field Work (Under Supervision) Pull, route, and secure conductors and cable in conduit, tray, and other raceways. Install boxes, fittings, supports, and hardware per drawings and direction. Assist with setting and wiring panels, transformers, disconnects, lighting, receptacles, and equipment. Help with terminations, splicing, labeling, and device make‑up as directed. Use basic test equipment (e.g., multimeters) as instructed to verify continuity, voltage, and proper operation.
