About this role
As an external safety and spatial development advisor at Antea Group, you support clients—including government ministries, safety regions, municipalities, and transport companies—in developing, implementing, and evaluating environmental and safety policies. You work on the intersection of safety, policy, and spatial planning, advising on how to safely integrate risk sources and vulnerable objects within spatial frameworks while applying relevant legislation. You analyze complex issues, identify stakeholder interests, and either serve as an advisor or take on project leadership to drive initiatives forward.
What you'll likely bring
- Experience advising on spatial planning and external safety matters
- Knowledge of relevant Dutch legislation including the Environmental Act (Omgevingswet) and Safety Regions Act (Wet veiligheidsregio's)
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions
- Capacity to work independently and organize project work
- Strong stakeholder engagement and client communication skills
- Project management capability when required
- Interest in expanding expertise across related safety domains such as fire safety
