About this role
Internship opportunity in structural engineering focused on civil construction projects. You will support experienced structural engineers by performing calculations and designing load-bearing structures in concrete, steel, and wood for infrastructure projects such as dikes, bridges, and water barriers. Responsibilities include assisting with technical reports, schematic calculations, processing design results, performing detailed calculations, and reviewing specifications and standards. The role offers hands-on experience in real civil engineering projects with mentorship from experienced professionals.
What you'll likely bring
- Currently enrolled in or pursuing MBO-4, HBO, or university degree in Civil Engineering, Building Sciences, or related field
- Interest in structural calculations and design
- Knowledge of Eurocodes or similar standards (preferred)
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with designers, modelers, and colleagues
