About this role
Databricks is hiring a senior support engineer to work with strategic customers on Apache Spark and data engineering challenges. You will manage high-priority accounts, diagnose complex performance issues by analyzing Spark logs and metrics, advise customers on pipeline optimization and lakehouse architecture, coordinate with internal engineering and product teams, and drive resolution of business-critical support cases.
What you'll likely bring
- Strong technical foundation in Apache Spark
- Experience managing strategic customer accounts
- Ability to analyze Spark UI, thread dumps, and driver/executor logs
- Knowledge of data engineering best practices, ETL/ELT optimization, and data modeling
- Familiarity with Databricks Lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake, and Iceberg
- Project management skills for support case prioritization and closure
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Capability to engage with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
