About this role
Sweco Architects seeks an experienced ecologist to serve as a liaison between policy and implementation for Natura 2000 protected areas and habitat conservation. You will advise government bodies and organizations on Natura 2000 regulations, analyze ecological data, prepare reports, and coordinate stakeholder engagement. The role combines technical ecological expertise with project leadership responsibilities, managing complex initiatives that require balancing scientific content with project management. Your work focuses on European Bird and Habitat Directive obligations, supporting clients with management processes, conservation goals, and evaluations of Natura 2000 sites across the Netherlands.
What you'll likely bring
- Proven experience as an ecologist with expertise in Natura 2000 and habitat protection
