As a senior ecology advisor at Movares, you will guide the protection and enhancement of nature across diverse projects. You ensure ecological quality is integrated strategically into design and decision-making processes. Your work involves complex advisory assignments covering nature legislation, ecological research, and permitting. You engage with multiple stakeholders throughout project lifecycles, advising on protected areas (including nitrogen-related issues), woodland management, and protected species (such as sand lizards, natterjack toads, fire salamanders, badgers, and beavers). A key responsibility is mentoring junior and mid-level staff, supporting their project work, reviewing report quality, and fostering their professional development. You contribute to building ecological expertise within the team and help embed ecology as a core element in integrated project teams. Projects span diverse sectors—from urban park infrastructure to nationwide rail upgrades and bridge renovations in major cities. You identify opportunities to create additional ecological value beyond legal requirements.
