PSV Mechanic - Mobile (Inverness based)

Ember is the UK's first all-electric coach company. We launched in October 2020 and are now running on eighteen routes – including Dundee to Glasgow, Inverness to Edinburgh and Aberdeen to Perth – with several further routes launching in the summer of of 2026 We’re looking for a Mobile PSV Mechanic to join the team that works across our fleet – 118 electric coaches at the moment, and growing fast. You’ll be our seventh qualified mechanic hire, and will be a key member of the team that we are building across Scotland. We are at advanced stages in developing new charging hubs in Glasgow and Kirkcaldy, with many more sites in the pipeline. The ideal candidate will be experienced, energetic and confident with the passion to stay on top of the latest developments in the electric vehicle market. This will be based in Inverness, but set up as a roaming role - you’ll also be working closely with the teams in Aberdeen, Dundee and Livingston. We’ll make sure that you’re set up for success, with all necessary training, access to the right vehicle and all of the relevant tools and equipment. This is a truly unique challenge - our coaches are used more intensively than any other electric vehicles in the world so not every problem will have a solution that can be found in a manual. Instead, your team will need to work closely with the manufacturer, go deep into understanding root causes and think creatively about how we could be avoiding the problem altogether in the future.
