About this role
Join Sweco Architects' Energy & Sustainability unit as a permissions advisor for renewable energy projects. You will provide strategic guidance on complex permitting processes, helping clients navigate regulatory requirements and obtain necessary approvals for solar PV, geothermal, hydrogen production, heat networks, battery storage, and grid congestion projects. Working at the intersection of policy, regulation, and implementation, you'll assess project feasibility early on, identify required permits and environmental compliance needs, and serve as the primary contact with regulatory authorities.
What you'll likely bring
- Experience as a mid-level or senior permissions/regulatory advisor
- Strong understanding of permitting processes and regulatory frameworks for energy projects
- Ability to translate legislation and regulations into practical project requirements
- Strategic advisory skills and capacity to serve as a sparring partner for clients
- Knowledge of environmental, emissions, and spatial planning regulations
- Experience with renewable energy project types (solar, geothermal, hydrogen, heat networks, battery storage, area sustainability)
