About this role
Join Sweco's newly formed ground energy team within the Energy and Sustainability business unit. As a ground energy advisor, you will lead the technical direction on open-loop ground energy systems and medium/high-temperature storage (MTO/HTO). You'll conduct preliminary investigations, guide colleagues in modeling and calculations, and translate findings into clear preliminary designs. You'll review designs from other engineers, advise on civil and mechanical engineering decisions, and collaborate across disciplines including civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and installation technology to develop integrated energy systems for educational institutions, healthcare organizations, and public/private clients.
What you'll likely bring
- Expertise in BRL 11000 scope 2A and detailed design of open-loop ground energy systems
- Experience conducting preliminary investigations according to industry assessment guidelines
- Ability to lead technical direction and mentor colleagues
- Knowledge of ground energy systems, medium and high-temperature storage technologies
- Capability to translate technical analysis into clear preliminary designs
- Experience reviewing engineering designs and providing technical guidance
- Ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines
- Understanding of civil and mechanical engineering principles as applied to energy systems
