Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support entity-level accounting for Toast's India operations. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end close, and compliance with local statutory requirements. Working closely with the Accounting Manager and global finance teams, you will assist with general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting, audits, and continuous process improvements in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. A day in the life (Responsibilities)  Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for Toast's India entities by preparing journal entries and ensuring timely completion of close activities. Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, employee-related accounts, and intercompany balances. Perform detailed variance analysis and investigate unusual account movements to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules in compliance with Ind AS, local statutory requirements, and Toast accounting policies. Support statutory audits, tax audits, and regulatory filings by preparing audit schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor requests
